The "Saalachtal Natural Wonders" in the Salzburg Saalachtal

In the SalzburgerLand, at the foot of the mighty peaks of the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge and next to the foothills of the Steinernes Meer, nature has created, in a relatively small area of land, bizarrely shaped rock formations, thunderous waterfalls and one of the largest cave systems in all of Europe. Only 2 km apart – nestled in the Pinzgau Saalachtal – are three extraordinary natural monuments:

These attractions, created by Mother Nature herself, can be reached from Highway 311 or by bicycle along the Tauern Bike Path directly from Salzburg or Saalfelden.

 

For visitors from the Berchtesgadener Land, we highly recommend taking the "ALMErlebnisBUS", which is also ideal in combination with a bike.

 

The parking spaces are in front of the excursion destinations - also for buses.
